David Beckham Lovers

He might be the idol of millions around the world, but when it comes to his own idol Harry Styles has revealed that his current pick, David Beckham, is far too conventional... and he's on the lookout for somebody a little more original!

The One Directioner attended The Class of 92 premiere in London recently, which celebrates Beckham's rise to football fame.

Speaking about his idol to OK! magazine, Harry admitted he looked up to Becks as a young boy but now feels it's time to choose an idol that's a little less mainstream.

"I think he was everybody's idol when I was growing up," the 19-year-old said.

"When people asked you that question, you almost needed a back-up answer because everyone would say, 'David Beckham!'" He quipped.

And despite being adored by millions across the globe, Harry still can't get over the fact that David's kids Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz and Harper are fans of his music.

"He's just a legend. He's also a great example of how you can have so much success, yet still be a really nice, down-to-earth person. He's a great role model," the cutie gushed.

Harry even spoke out about the time the footballing ace took his children to the boy's show in LA. "We actually met once when we were performing in LA. He brought his kids to our concert. He's a really nice guy."

And David's ability to be the role-model of young boys every where, as well as being one of the best footballers Britain has ever seen, doesn't look as though it's going to go unpraised, with rumours recently emerging that the 38-year-old could be on his way to a knighthood from Queen Elizabeth II, a move that Harry is fully in support of!

"I think he really deserves it," he confessed. "It makes sense because he's such a national treasure. To be honest, I already thought he was Sir David Beckham anyway!"
