Footballer David Beckham is to hold the only public book signing for his book, David Beckham, today.
The event, which takes place at Waterstones Piccadilly from 10am, is expected to draw massive crowds of fans and books will be signed on a first come, first served basis.
The first 500 people in the queue will get the chance to meet the former Manchester United and England Star.
Larissa Prockter, events manager for Waterstones, said: "We are thrilled to have David at London's best bookshop for his only public signing of David Beckham-this will be our last major event of the year and what a way to finish! I've never had so many volunteers to help from head office.
"It's a great Christmas treat for David's countless fans - we can't wait."
According to book news site thebookseller.com, Beckham's book has sold 27,000 copies since publication on October 31. The memoir of his former manager Alex Ferguson, by contrast, has sold 568,000 copies since October 24.
