Harry Styles: 'I need another icon, David Beckham isn't original'
Harry Styles wants to find a new icon to replace David Beckham.
The One Direction star said that he has always looked up to David Beckham, but feels that it isn't an original answer.
He told OK! Magazine: "I think he was everybody's idol when I was growing up.
"When people asked you that question, you almost needed a back-up answer because everyone would say, 'David Beckham!'"
Styles said that Beckham is a great role model because he remains grounded despite his success.
"We actually met once when we were performing in LA. He brought his kids to our concert. He's a really nice guy."
The 'Best Song Ever' singer believes that Beckham should be knighted next year.
"I think he really deserves it," he said. "It makes sense because he's such a national treasure. To be honest, I already thought he was Sir David Beckham anyway!"
Styles has recently been linked to Kim Kardashian's half sister Kendall Jenner.
