David Beckham's tattoo advice isn't well received

When it comes to his four kids getting tattoos, David Beckham is trying to adopt the motto 'Do as I say, not as I do.'
The soccer star, who is raising Brooklyn, 14, Romeo, 11, Cruz, 8, and 2-year-old daughter Harper with wife Victoria Beckham, has taken to encouraging his brood to go ink-free.
During an interview on The Jonathan Ross Show, David Beckham explained, "They've already said they're having tattoos done. And I said, 'Well, be different, don't have any tattoos.' And they said, 'No, we're going to have one. We're going to have, 'Mum and Dad.' So I can't really say no to that."
Earlier this year David Beckham, who is seen here showing off his body art while filming an H&M ad, spoke positively about his own vast collection of tattoos.
"I have 32 and I don't regret any of them," he told CNN. "They all have a meaning. I think that's what's important about tattoos, if they have a meaning you'll never regret them."
As a mom with two tattoos I second that advice, but have to caution the placement of ink is almost equally as important! When you're young and considering what has meaning to you I advise - no, I beg - you put that 'YOLO' or similar whatnot somewhere discreet.
I'm actually surprised to hear the Beckham boys want to get tattoos, as in my experience kids these days don't want them if their parents have them. My younger son wanted an elephant on his kneecap when he was 3 (specifically implanted with a button that when pushed would make the giant animal's trumpeting sound), but these days neither my 9 or 7-year-old sweeties sees any ink in their futures.
