Designer Tommy Hilfiger has called David Beckham the world's best underwear model."I've seen all kinds, to be honest with you," Tommy told TMZ.

"We all wish we looked like David Beckham. At the end of the day he's like the underwear model of the century."

Asked whether he agreed that David was the "epitome" of an underwear model, Hilfiger replied: "Exactly."David, who retired from football last year, has modelled underwear for Georgio Armani - alongside wife Victoria Beckham - as well as his own range for Swedish retailer H&M.

Nicolas Winding Refn, who directed an advert for David's latest H&M range, also recently raved about the star, saying: "David Beckham is an incredible, photogenic, personality. He's a magnet. You very much move towards him."

"It's really cool to have done something that's going to be seen by millions and millions of people," the footballer himself said of the advert. "The fact that people are gonna see this and I'm in my underwear."
