David Beckham arrived in the typhoon-hit Philippines today to give hope to survivors of the country's latest devastating storm.
The soccer legend will visit children left orphaned and homeless by super-typhoon Haiyan in his role as UNICEF ambassador.
LA Galaxy midfielder Becks flew into storm-ravaged city Tacloban for a surprise visit this morning - and will spend the day meeting survivors of the storm which hit on November 8 last year.
Also known as Typhoon Yolanda, the storm was the strongest ever recorded to hit mainland, killing over 6,000 people and leaving more than four million homeless.
Becks, a UNICEF ambassador since 2005, will meet aid workers to see work going on to help children still affected by the storm.
The charity are still providing essential food, medicines and clean water to families affected by the devastated Tacloban region, 300 miles south of the capital Manila.
His visit is his second since Yolanda hit the Philipines - he first went to meet storm victims there last December.
