Victoria Beckham and huband David are said to be looking for a new country pile in Chipping Norton, the Costwolds market town fast becoming the destination for celebrities looking for cleaner air and a quieter life away from the city.
If the Beckhams do find a house they like in the town, they will certainly be in good company: Kate Moss, Liz Hurley and David Cameron are just three high profile names that have homes there.
Since they recently completed the sale of Beckhingham Palace - the house they bought in Hertforshire after their wedding 14 years ago, and which is said to have sold for £12 million - the Beckham family have been renting a £23 million house in west London.
Although they want to buy a more permanent home in the capital, they've yet to find anywhere they like since complications stopped them putting an offer in for Michael Winner's former £50 million Holland Park mansion. But as well as a London abode, it's thought the Beckham's want a bolt hole somewhere a little bit leafier too, hence the search in the Cotswolds.
If the family-of-six do want to get away sooner, they've always got their homes in LA and France to go to. Oh, how the other half live...
