It is one of the Premier League's most glamorous fixtures, taking place in one of London's most exclusive areas.
So it is only natural that Chelsea v Manchester United should attract a host of famous faces.
Among those watching the game included former United star David Beckham, who was joined by his sons.
There was also cricketing star Kevin Pietersen, Simply Red singer Mick Hucknall and England footballer manager Roy Hodgson.
Former United manager Sir Alex Ferguson - who was sat next to Hucknall - was also watching the game along with Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich.
In one humorous picture, Abramovich could be seen celebrating a Chelsea goal as Beckham looked on glumly.
Others spotted watching the match included Holland coach Louis van Gaal and former Chelsea star Andriy Shevchenko.

David Beckham's nephew will undergo further throat surgery in a fight for his life.
The retired soccer star's sister Lynne gave birth to Jenson two weeks ago, but the baby has been seriously ill and in intensive care, suffering from severe respiratory problems.
According to reports in The Sun on Sunday newspaper, the child will undergo a tracheotomy - where a tube is inserted into the throat - to bypass his mouth.
The tube may have to stay in for years, and Jenson has been diagnosed with a vocal chord disorder, along with possible lung scarring.
It was previously revealed David - who spent Christmas in the Maldives with wife Victoria and kids Brooklyn,14, Romeo, 11, Cruz, 8, and two-year-old daughter Harper - has been in ''constant contact'' with his sister and her partner Kevin Briggs.
Jenson's father recently told of how his son was ''fighting for life'' from birth, but noted the former Manchester United star has been showing concern for his nephew.
Kevin said: ''When he was born he was fighting for life. We're all very worried but the doctors have been brilliant. David's been in constant contact.''
Major League Soccer to announce David Beckham ownership decision in next ...
Major League Soccer commissioner Don Garber has said that an announcement on David Beckham's bid to own a club in Miami will be made in the next month.
The former England captain wants to purchase a franchise in the city, expanding the league to 20 sides.
Speaking at the MLS's annual Draft, Garber said: "I was down there this past weekend and I have been down there a lot, working with potential ownership and trying to finalise a stadium plan.
"Right now, we have got a lot of work to do and we will announce something in early February."
It was reported before Christmas that the 38-year-old, who won two MLS Cups during his time at Los Angeles Galaxy, plans to call his club Miami Beckham United.
David Beckham and Victoria Posh Spice Spend $65 Million on New London ...
David Beckham has kicked his last soccer ball professionally, and Posh Spice wife Victoria is ready to plant some permanent roots in sunny old London, England, and some fairly expensive roots at that. They couple is reportedly spending $65 million on the new house in London.
The 39-year-old designer has spent 14 years following her husband from job to job, but now that Beckham is retired, Posh is ready for something different. She told Life & Style everyone was looking forward to the transition:

"We're starting a new chapter in our lives. As a family, we're very excited about what lies ahead."
Who wouldn't be excited to move into the 7-bed, 5-bath, 9000-square-foot property just down the street from Simon Cowell in the exclusive Kensington neighborhood. Posh's closet alone is 2,000-square-feet.
U.K. real estate agent Giselle Harrison tells Life & Style that it is one of the nicest houses in the whole of England:
"The Beckhams have chosen the most expensive and glamorous area of London. They have fantastic restaurants, shops and museums, and their neighbors are some of the richest people in the United Kingdom!..It's one of the most incredible streets in London. Victoria will have more than enough space to have an entire room dedicated to her shoes and handbags."
Though you might think that the couple would have become jaded by the luxe lifestyle, but she tells Life and Style that she remembers to stay grounded:
"I wake up every morning and think how lucky I am."
A few other people are probably thinking that too.

Lucky Victoria! David Beckham 'Working Out For Fitter Body' With Guy Ritchie ...
By Sharnaz Shahid On January 16, 2014
Footie ace David Beckham and film director Guy Ritchie have reportedly been training together at a London gym.
The gym pals were said to be taking part in "gruelling" sessions to get their physiques in fit shape this year.
''Anyone can go to the gym they've been attending, so it was a real shock to see two huge names in there - especially in sessions for toning bums and legs," a source told Daily Mirror. ''But they've also been working on their chests and abs, so it's clear they want to keep their full bodies in shape."

The 38-year-old sportsman, who announced his retirement from playing football last year, is rumoured to appear in Ritchie's latest film.
The insider added: "David's obviously really fit, but it seemed like they'd teamed up in a bid to kick start the new year in a healthy way, as they went again the next day. ''And the pair have had quite gruelling workouts.''
Ritchie is said to be training with Becks (WENN)
Meanwhile, Becks recently spoke of his love of tough Soul Cycle classes.
"It's like spinning with a difference," Becks said, reports the news publication. "There's music and choreography. There's 40 people in a room for 45 minutes, it's really hard and you come out there like you've just come out the shower."
MLS to announce plans for David Beckham's Miami expansion bid in February
David Beckham's plan to bring a Major League Soccer franchise to Miami is looking more and more like a reality. MLS commissioner Don Garber said Thursday that the league expects to make an announcement on the status of Beckham's expansion plans "in early February.''
Garber didn't say the league was ready to award Miami a team just yet, only that there would be an announcement "on what's going on in Miami.'' All indications are if Beckham's group comes up with a viable stadium plan that is acceptable to MLS executives, Miami will get a team.
"I was down there this past weekend, and I've been down there a lot, working with potential ownership and trying to finalize a stadium plan." Garber told media at the MLS SuperDraft in Philadelphia Thursday. "Right now, we've got a lot of work to do, and we'll announce something in early February."
Beckham, the English soccer and fashion icon, was given as part of his contract with the Los Angeles Galaxy the opportunity to buy an expansion franchise at a deeply discounted rate - believed to be $25 million (teams are now going for $100 million). He has teamed with business manager Simon Fuller and Miami-based billionaire Marcelo Claure, owner of Brightstar Corp., and they are working on a financial and stadium plan.
They are looking at leasing county land and privately funding a 25,000 stadium at the southwest corner of the Port of Miami.
Last month, Miami-Dade County unanimously approved a resolution last month to negotiate with Beckham's group for the stadium.
"There's a lot of work that needs to happen," Garber said. "We can't go to Miami without the right stadium solution. David understands that. The city understands that. That's an indisputable fact. We can't have different rules in Miami than we have in any other city.
"We want to do as much as we can to work with David and Simon Fuller to get something done as quickly as we can."
World Cup
South Florida soccer fans will get to see three World Cup teams without having to travel to Brazil this summer, as Sun Life Stadium hosts two tune-up matches in early June.

Victoria Beckham And The Girls Cameo She's Just 'Too Chic' For…
Lena Dunham's latest comments about Victoria Beckham could disappoint Girls fans, with Posh's cameo on the hit comedy in doubt.
Talking at the Season 3 premiere in London last night, the 27-year-old Girls creator suggested Victoria could be TOO chic for the show.
Nooooo.
Lena told reporters on the red carpet: 'Victoria Beckham mentioned she loved the show in an interview and this has been metastasised into 'Victoria Beckham is the fifth Girl'.'
'We love Victoria Beckham but she's a little chic for us.'
But David Beckham could swoop in and solve everything, according to the show's executive producer, Jennifer Konner.
'I've heard those rumours but they have not been directly put to us,' Jennifer said at the Cineworld Haymarket. 'Why not? It would be amazing!'
'And I would insist on David as well,' she joked (with a hint of seriousness, we hope).
Meanwhile former Spice World star, Richard E Grant, has bagged himself a guest spot on the HBO series. 'I have a 25-year-old daughter who obsessively watches the show,' he revealed last night.
'All the things she's going through are the things the characters are going through so it's a real window into the world of the young, who have left home and finished college or university and trying to make their way into the world - and the sexual politics are eye-opening, to say the least.'
Unable to give away the exact details of his upcoming appearance, Grant did say that his character has 'a relationship with one of these younger ladies'.
While he gushed over his time on set: 'Lena is a very unassuming boss - she is astonishing. She has such authority but does it effortlessly without being diva-ish.'
Here's hoping he found time to put a good word in for Victoria AND David Beckham.

Look Out For David Beckham In Your Next Legs, Bums And Tums Class
David Beckham clearly works hard to maintain that impressive physique of his, but you might be shocked to learn where he's been doing it...
London gym bunnies were treated to a very special surprise when the former England captain rocked up to a public gym with his close director friend Guy Ritchie earlier this week.
And it wasn't just the manly weights section the handsome duo were seen hanging out in, either...
According to a tabloid source, David Beckham and Guy Ritchie have developed a surprising fondness for legs, bums and tums sessions. Right, where is this gym and where do we sign up?
'Anyone can go to the gym they've been attending, so it was a real shock to see two huge names in there', a source told The Mirror.
'Especially in sessions for toning bums and legs. But they've also been working on their chests and abs, so it's clear they want to keep their full bodies in shape.'
Considering David Beckham spends a considerable amount of time in his pants, modelling his H&M underwear collection, it makes sense that he's keen to keep that impressive backside pert.
'David's obviously really fit, but it seemed like they'd teamed up in a bid to kick start the new year in a healthy way, as they went again the next day', the source added. 'And the pair have had quite gruelling workouts.'
Phew. If ever we needed an excuse to get down the gym, this is most certainly it.
The retired footballer also recently admitted that he's a big fan of the latest spinning craze, Soul Cycle.
'It's like spinning with a difference,' he said. 'There's music and choreography. There's 40 people in a room for 45 minutes, it's really hard and you come out there like you've just come out the shower.'
A sweaty Becks, emerging from our local spin class? We couldn't think of anything more delicious.
